If there are asbestos-containing materials within communal areas of our blocks, we are required by law to regularly inspect and check if the asbestos containing materials remain in good condition. The frequency of which we carry out these asbestos re-inspections is determined by a risk-based approach (i.e. some blocks are inspected every year, others every 2 years, and some every 3 years). If any asbestos containing materials are found to be in a poor condition, where they cannot be monitored and managed in-situ, then we will carry out the appropriate remedial or removal works, as per the recommendation(s) in the survey.
