If a customer would like to know when a component in their property will be replaced, we should always check Apex first and advise them that the component will be assessed of the date that is shown.
The date shown on the system is not the date for replacement. The date means the kitchen/bathroom needs to have the condition assessed to confirm if a replacement is required.
Under the current Welsh Quality Housing Standard, the replacement is only needed if:-

- A kitchen is older than 16 years, unless it is in good condition i.e. if it is over 16 year but is still assessed as in good condition it does not need replacing.
- A Bathroom and WC facilities must be less than 26 years old, unless in good condition i.e. if it older than 26 years old but still in good condition based on our assessment then it will not be replaced.
If a replacement is needed for a kitchen less than 16 years or for a bathroom less than 26 years, a recharge may apply.
