What are the replacement cycles?

The planned replacement of the various components in our homes are guided by established life cycles. These are a guide to when a component i.e. a kitchen is due to be replaced.

The main component life cycles that we work to are:

  • Kitchens –16 years from installation.
  • Bathrooms – 26 years from installation.
  • Central heating boilers – 15 years from installation.
  • Windows – 30 years from installation.
  • Doors – 30 years from installation.
  • Roof coverings – 15 to 65 (depending on type) years from installation.
  • Fences – 30 years from installation.
  • Electrical systems – 30 years from installation.

Note: These are a guide only and actual replacement dates depend on the assessment of the condition of the components.
