Rent Account Stages – Notice Seeking Possession

Notice Seeking Possession (NSP) now ‘RHW23’ (Renting Homes Wales) is the first enforcement stage for rent recovery.

A ‘RHW23’ (NSP) notice is issued to accounts that owe over £1000 as per high level arrears plan. However, a ‘RHW23’ NSP can be issued to balances that are below this if the tenant has disengaged or has not actively sought to set an arrangement.

Accounts can have a live NSP below £1000 if they are actively paying the debt.

NSP’s will remain live for 6 months.

Customers may get a notice seeking possession renewal, even if they have set an agreement. This will have been re-issued if there are still arrears on the account to protect our interests.
