Rent Account Stages – Court Hearing

Court Hearing

Once the account has been passed for a court hearing, agreements can be made and this advised at Court by the housing officer

Court costs will be added to the rent account following the hearing; £355 for rents or £390 if gas access is included. There can be two outcomes at a court hearing:

Suspended Possession Order can be granted where the judge sets an amount for the customer to pay back i.e Rent +£10 per week. If these payments are then missed the account can be passed for eviction

Outright Possession Order can be granted or will be requested if the tenant doesn’t attend court hearing. To prevent this customer must clear account in full or apply for a stay hearing.
