In most circumstances, we will charge for repairs to damage caused by misuse, abuse or negligence by contract holders, their family or visitors to the property. These are called ‘rechargeable repairs’.
We could recharge for the following:
- Deliberate damage to appliances
- Misuse of appliances
- Deliberate vandalism of property/appliances
- Accidental damage caused by the contract holder, their family or visitors to the property
- Missed appointments (for example, annual gas safety check)
- If we are called out to repairs that are the contract holder’s responsibility
If a contract holder has been the victim of crime and their home has been damaged, they should report it to the Police and ask for a crime number.
