We will regularly cleanse (litter pick etc.) places we have responsibility for, that are not adopted highway, during the Winter only – officers will use knowledge to target resource.
Even on Bron Afon land TCBC have a permanent, year ’round responsibility to cleanse the adopted highway (check the relevant layer on our mapping)
Leaf litter – Think of this as a litter issue. This follows land ownership *and* highways responsibility. We do not litter pick from gardens, including fallen leaves.
Dead animals – small dead animals can be wrapped (picked up with a bag) and placed in the bin. It is unlikely we would attend to remove a dead animal in the open.
Issues around litter, mess and fly tipping follow the same principles as grounds and land ownership / highways responsibility e.g., litter in the street would be dealt with by the body who has responsibility for the path (highway). See Land ownership.
