How to change thermostat batteries

Provide the below advice to customers needing to change their thermostat batteries.

The thermostat is what controls the heating and hot water in the home.

If a customer finds that they have hot water but no central heating they may need to change the batteries in their thermostat.

We generally have two types of thermostats; the Danfoss and the Drayton.

On the Danfoss thermostat, the battery compartment is just beneath the digital display and opens downwards.

The battery compartment is on the left-hand side.

All they need to do is replace the two AA batteries.

On the Drayton model the battery compartment is on the bottom right-hand corner

There is a thumbnail position at the bottom of the compartment.  They need to apply pressure and lift off.

All they need to do is change the two AA batteries.

That’s it!  The heating should now be back up and running.
