Garages – Leasehold

Garages are administered by the Leasehold Team’s Garage Officer. We advertise available garages for letting on our website and this is updated on a weekly basis. Anyone can apply for a garage (not just Bron Afon’s contract holders) and it is on a ‘first come first served basis’. Applicants will need to apply via the website and if successful provide proof of identity/address and sign up to a ‘Licence’. The Licence Fee is paid monthly by direct debit only (no other payment method is accepted). Further details on the Licence Agreement or fee payable can be obtained from the Leasehold Team.

Please note:

  • Garages are not designed to be watertight and may be affected by dampness and condensation, especially during the colder months.  Bron Afon will not be held liable for any damage to vehicles or belongings stored in a garage.

There are some things garages can’t be used for:

  • Running a business.
  • Keeping livestock.
  • Storing hazardous materials.
  • You must not sub-let them.

Land Plots with Garages

We also have plots of land where we have allowed a tenant to build their own garage. Tenants have a tenancy agreement and pay a ground rent to us and can sell their own garage providing they get permission from us in the first instance, and a new agreement is entered into. These are not on YODA or IBS, any queries please contact the Leasehold Manager.
