If we are notified that an account holder has passed away we need to raise a deceased Contract Holder TMI.
You will need to advise the caller of the following:
- Ask for the next of kin or power of attorney name, address and phone call
- Advise the caller that if the deceased Contract Holder was in receipt of housing benefit they need to call Torfaen Council to advise
- Ask for a copy of the death certificate in order for us to end the account
- Ask for the date of death
- Advise that rent will continue to be added to the account until keys are handed in to us
Once this information has been gathered you will need to enter it into the description box on the TMI. When completed a link to the TMI needs to be emailed to deceasedContract Holdersgroup@bronafon.org.uk
