When completing taking the details for Damp and Mould please can you ensure to ask the following questions and record the answers as this will allow provide the surveyor a better understanding prior to the visit.
- When did you first notice the damp and mould?
- What colour is it?
- Does the area around it feel wet?
- Where is located – windows, corners of room, behind furniture etc?
- Is the wall that it is on external or internal?
- Which rooms are affected?
- Do you have a working extractor fan in your kitchen and bathroom?
- Have you reported this issue previously in the past 12 months?
You will also need to ask that the customer emails any photos to you if they are able to do so.
