Current contract holders – moving home

All current Bron Afon contract holders will follow the same process as a new applicant. Applying through Homeseeker and going through the process of shortlisting and pre-tenancy. However, there are a few extra steps that will be required of a current Bron Afon contract holder.

Transfer inspection

If you are moving within Bron Afon (transferring to another Bron Afon home), you will need to pass a transfer inspection. When the New Homes team contact you to arrange your pre-tenancy they will also arrange for a surveyor to attend your current home to carry out a property inspection. The Surveyor will need access to all rooms in the house and outside spaces.

Your rent account

To be able to move home within Bron Afon you are required to have an up to date rent account.

Handing your keys back

After you have signed for your new home, you will have as long as you need to move out and return the keys. However, it is in your best interest to hand the keys in as soon as you are able as you will be liable for the rent on both properties.

You can hand your keys in on any day after you are moved out as long as it is before 12pm.
