Gas service & Electrical checks

Gas service and electrical checks are very important. They keep contract holders, their family, neighbours and community safe.

Every 12 months, by law, we have to check the safety of the gas appliances and gas supply in our homes.  We also complete our  electrical checks every five years.

These checks make sure that everything’s running well, as well as helping to keep our contract holders safe by finding any leaks or faults.

Gas service and electrical check appointments

When a gas service or electrical check is due, we will send an appointment in the post.  We will send this appointment in advance, giving plenty of time for contract holders to let us know if it’s not a good time for them.

Changing an appointment

If a contract holder needs to change the date or time of their appointment they can do so by calling in and selecting option 2 on the line (this will transfer them to the Gas/Electrical scheduling team), or by filling in our online form (on our website) and we will contact them to agree a new date or time.

If anyone in the property is self-isolating, we will follow Welsh Government guidelines and won’t carry out any safety checks until the isolation period is over.
